WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?
Freemasonry is one of the oldest secular social and charitable organisations in the world, modern Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals.
We are one of the largest charitable givers in the country, contributing £51.1m to deserving causes in 2020. Freemasons are taught to look after those less fortunate than themselves, charity is our lifeblood and many members devote their time and energy to helping those less fortunate than themselves.
We also have a huge amount of enjoyment along the way, we eat, drink and meet together and form lifelong friendships.
